Staying in Contact

Summer is quickly approaching and for most people that means swimming pools, ball parks, and summer vacations. It also means you probably won't be seeing a lot of your customers.


Don't be frustrated, that doesn't mean you can't stay in touch. (Yep, that is my kid.)
In the mobile age we live in, you can reach your customers through email and social media wherever they may roam. No matter where you are, take a look around and you will likely see people checking email, Facebook, or Twitter from their smartphones. And the best feature of social media - it's free! 

Using email, Facebook, or Twitter, make contact in some fashion once a week to maintain the all important top-of-mind awareness. Here are some ideas.

  • Be the expert. Position yourself as a subject matter expert by providing educational information. Share tips on maintaining their landscape during the hot summer months.
  • Inspire. Set yourself up as their go-to for Fall purchasing by sharing landscape ideas or by featuring a plant of the week. Make sure to include pictures for maximum impact!

  • Host an event. Consider a tutorial or hands-on workshop that incorporates products that you sell. Remember, school is out so kid friendly events might make for happy parents.

So even though the physical traffic may slow down, try increasing your internet traffic this summer. You just might strengthen your customer connections.
